Having worked 21 years in the food industry, from owning a food production and gourmet distribution company to now offering food consulting and bespoke tours,Tawnya continues to combine her culinary experience with her passion for understanding ingredient provenance.

Having worked 21 years in the food industry, from owning a food production and gourmet distribution company to now offering food consulting and bespoke tours, Tawnya continues to combine her culinary experience with her passion for Australian produce.

Tawnya’s experience has brought with it a vast network of farmers, producers and chefs, many of whom she works with in her varying roles within the industry. A gastronomic adventurer and food curator, Tawnya’s innate passion for food and cooking extends beyond the kitchen, through to production and agriculture.

Tawnya’s experience includes creating and producing her own line of seafood sauces (The Condiment Connoisseur), owning a national gourmet distribution company, menu planning and costing, recipe development, designing artisanal gift hampers for the corporate market, researching farmers’ markets and developing market and regional farm tours, analysing global food trends, developing market strategies and sourcing ingredients.

Chef-trained in commercial cookery via Le Cordon Bleu Culinary Institute, Tawnya is a judge with the Royal Agricultural Society, professional restaurant reviewer, Le Cordon Bleu exam assessor and on the committee for the Australian Culinary Federation.
